On 1 September 2026, the HDB family came together at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel to celebrate our colleagues at the Service Recognition Awards (SRA) Presentation Ceremony. It was a day dedicated to the people whose steadfast commitment and invaluable contributions have shaped our organisation over the years. From 10 years of service to an extraordinary 45 years, each milestone represented a remarkable journey of perseverance and shared achievement.
The celebrations began even before the formal ceremony commenced. The venue quickly came to life as the excited, happy recipients streamed in. The photo booth was a popular gathering point, with colleagues enthusiastically striking poses and capturing treasured moments with friends. Adding an element of spontaneity and excitement, the selfie roamers weaved through the crowd, immortalising candid smiles and moments of camaraderie. For those who wanted a more dynamic keepsake, the 360-degree video booth provided an entertaining opportunity to step into the spotlight and create fun video moments. Together, these activities transformed the pre-event reception into a lively tapestry of laughter and interaction.
The centrepiece of the afternoon was the awards presentation where Chairperson and the Senior Leadership Team took to the stage to honour our deserving recipients. Over 450 recipients were recognised for their remarkable contributions to HDB. The presentation was a poignant reminder that an organisation’s achievements are built not only on common goals and accomplishments, but also on the people who dedicate themselves to making a difference, year after year. Their wealth of experience, institutional knowledge and unrelenting commitment form an invaluable part of the organisation’s heritage.
The celebrations continued with a sumptuous lunch, allowing recipients to unwind, reconnect and savour the afternoon in good company, against a backdrop of soothing evergreens and jazz classics struck up by a band. It was a welcome chance for everyone to pause from the rhythm of everyday work and enjoy an afternoon made just for them.
As the celebrations drew to a close, anticipation filled the room for the much-awaited acappella performance by The Island Voices. Their captivating harmonies and infectious energy filled the ballroom, drawing everyone to their feet in appreciation and enthusiasm. The celebration was topped off with a group photo to capture the spirit of the occasion.
To all our SRA recipients, congratulations on your significant milestone. Thank you for your unwavering dedication, invaluable contributions and for being an integral part of the organisation’s journey. Your years of service represent more than the passage of time; they reflect the lasting impact you have made and are testament to the commitment and care you bring to your work each day.
